Operation Smile Norway is part of Operation Smile, a global nonprofit delivering free, life-changing cleft surgeries and comprehensive care. Active in over 60 countries, Operation Smile Norway focuses on sustainable healthcare solutions in resource-limited settings across Sub-Saharan Africa, North Africa, and Palestine.

What Are Cleft Conditions? 
A cleft is a gap in the mouth that didn’t close during the early stages of pregnancy, and it happens more often than you may realize. Cleft lip and palate are believed to be one of the most common craniofacial differences worldwide. Without intervention, affected children battle a lifetime of difficulties with eating, breathing, speaking and mental health.  

🚀 About the Role 
As the Director/Head of Corporate Partnerships, you will play a pivotal role in the next stage of Operation Smile Norway’s growth. You will drive major gift acquisition, cultivate high-value corporate partnerships, and help us secure the revenue needed to expand our impact. 

You will work together with the Executive Director to: 

  • Develop and deliver on a 5 year fundraising and corporate partnership plan 
  • Help to grow fundraising capacity by securing Major Donations from Corporates, Foundations and High Net Worth individuals.  
  • Secure major corporate partnerships that can enhance employee engagement and CSR initiatives 
  • Build the foundations for a future scalable fundraising and partnerships team as our income grows. 

This is a high-impact, senior-level role ideal for someone who is strategic, entrepreneurial, well networked, and deeply passionate about social change. 

🔑 Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead the identification, cultivation, and closing of high-value partnerships (corporates, foundations, major donors). 
  • Shape and execute a strategic fundraising and partnership plan aligned with our 5-year vision. 
  • Help develop the overarching strategy for corporate prospect identification to drive forward new partnerships across relevant industry sectors, particularly within the Life Science/Health and Wellbeing space.  
  • Manage external relationship building with CSR and Sustainability Leaders, Chief People and Marketing Officers, Health Sector actors, Foundations, Funding Streams and philanthropic networks. 
  • Support strategic communications and storytelling around partnerships and impact. 
  • Track, report, and enhance all partnership and donor income processes. 
  • Represent Operation Smile Norway at strategic forums, meetings, and events. 
  • Write and present partnership proposals. 
  • Actively contribute to brand positioning and awareness-building initiatives in Norway. 

🎯 Who You Are 
You will bring previous expertise from within a corporate partnership, fundraising or impact partnership role if you

  • Have a proven track record with 10+ years of experience securing six-figure sponsorships.
  • Have an extensive network in Norway, deeply connected to Norway’s Social Sustainability, CSR, Partnership, Sponsorship and Philanthropy funding ecosystems. 
  • Financially literate, strategically minded, and business development-driven. 
  • Entrepreneurial and adaptable, comfortable navigating a startup environment on a global quest to bridge the health equity gap. 
  • Passionate about inclusion, health equity, sustainable social impact and humanitarian work. 
  • Fluent in both Norwegian and English (both written and verbal) is essential for this role.
